GSCM was organized in 1975 by a group of people dedicated to genealogical and historical research. This dedication continues in the society today. We are a vibrant, active society with many members nationwide and an outstanding research library and society publication. Membership is open to everyone.

If you are hesitant to join because you don't have central Missouri ancestors, please don't let that stop you. Many of our members don't have any local (or even Missouri) ancestors.

Individual Membership: $20.00

Family membership $25.00 [more than one person living at same residence]

Institutional Membership: $20.00 [for libraries, schools, archives, etc]

Lifetime INDIVIDUAL Membership: $300.00 [non-transferrable]

Lifetime FAMILY Membership: $375.00 [non-transferrable]

This is based on Lifetime Membership being 15 X the annual rate.

Membership Renewals: On the one-year anniversary of the join date. To check the expiration date of your membership, look at the address label on your most recent quarterly Reporter.

Monthly Meetings: Boone County History and Culture Center, 3801 Ponderosa St, Columbia, MO, Conference Room. Same building as our GSCM Library.

No August meeting due to the Missouri State Genealogical Society's annual conference
Our December meeting is our annual Christmas gathering

Members Only Pages: Your Individual or Family membership gives you access to our Members Only section, which is a place where you can check your profile, add surnames you are researching and view electronic versions of our past Reporter quarterly journals. You will be issued a password upon joining to access this area. NOTE: Institution memberships are not issued passwords, but do receive our quarterly publication by postal mail and can access the Newsletter online.
